2017-2018 PFGC Class Schedule

Class Descriptions:

Parent & Me: Parent & Me is a class developed for parents to work along the side of their athlete while they are beginning to understand how to take direction and gain assistance with a big helper. This class is held under instruction of a certified coach and will be full of fun, high fives and wonderful memories. For ages 18 months to 3 Years

Shockers: Shockers is a Pre-K class for 3-4 year olds designed to work independently on core strength, balance and strong fundamentals.

Electric: Electric is a beginners recreational gymnastics class designed to teach the fundamentals of each apparatus of vault, bars, beam and floor. For ages 5 Years to 7 Years

Electric II: An advanced recreational gymnastics class for ages 5 Years to 7 Years. Children must be evaluated prior to registration into this class.

Voltage: Voltage is a beginners recreational gymnastics class focusing on all four apparatus of vault, bars, beam and floor. For ages 8 & Up.

Voltage II & III: An advanced recreational gymnastics class for ages 8 & Up.  Children must be evaluated prior to registration into this class.

Boy’s Fury: Boys Fury is a recreational class for boys and will concentrate on all elements of boys gymnastics. Vault, bar, parallel bars, floor, rings and mushroom. For ages 5 & Up

Advanced Boys: Advanced class for boys and will concentrate on all elements of boys gymnastics. Vault, bar, parallel bars, floor, rings and mushroom. Evaluations required prior to enrollment into this class.

Ninja Gymnastics: Ninja Gymnastics is a class focusing on obstacle courses, Gymnastics, martial arts tricking. Obstacle courses are designed for vaulting and agility. Gymnastics skills for developing core strength and mental awareness. Martial Arts Tricking is a combination of the beauty of martial arts and the boldness of gymnastics tumbling.This curriculum is FUN and it also teaches:
Confidence, Discipline, Team Work, Physical and Mental Awareness. For ages 5 & Up.

Tumbling for Beginners: Athletes in this class are working toward obtaining a forward roll, handstand, cartwheel with proper hand placement, and bridge kick over. They will also learn drills to help them succeed in further levels.

Tumbling for Advanced Beginners: Athletes in this class are working toward obtaining backward rolls, cartwheel step-in to progress toward a round-off, back limbers, handstand forward roll, and will also learn drills to help them succeed in future levels.

Tumbling 1: Athletes in this class are working to obtain a proper round-off with rebound, front walkover, and standing back handspring.

Tumbling 2: Athletes in this class are working toward obtaining a proper round-off back handspring with rebound, running front walkover to round off, and will begin developing punch front and back tuck drills. *Evaluation Required

Tumbling 3: Athletes in this class are working toward obtaining a punch front, punch front step-out to round-off rebound, round-off double back handspring, round-off back handspring back tuck, as well as layout drills, arabian drills, and beginning twisting drills. *Evaluation Required

Tumbling 4: Athletes in this class are working toward obtaining full twists, double fulls, arabians, and beyond. *Evaluation Required

Dance Combo Class: For dancers ages 6 – 10. Learn beginning technique for Ballet, Tap, and Jazz.

Dance Tu-Tu Cute Class: For little dancers, ages 3 – 5. Your child will learn creative movement with an emphasis in ballet and tap.

Dance: Hip-Hop: For ages 5 & Up. Beginning and Intermediate technique for Hip-Hop Dance. This is a high energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, break dancing, and more. Students must have strength and stamina to successfully perform dance moves, so this class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm up.
